It was a good run, but the Bravo Knights unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 61-34 defeat at the hands of Carson.
When it comes to explaining why Bravo lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jade Fernandez. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points. The game was Fernandez's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Victoria Rodriguez, who scored seven points.
Carson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Faith Woodson out in front who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Woodson hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Robyn Raphiel was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Bravo's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Carson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.
Bravo won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Serra at 4:00 p.m. on December 23rd. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Kaicia Snelson and Rodriguez. Carson won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against JSerra Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on December 23rd. JSerra Catholic is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
