Softball Recap: Chouteau-Mazie Extends Winning Streak to Five

Chouteau-Mazie had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Afton on Monday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 16-1 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 15 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the fifth in a row for Chouteau-Mazie, bringing their record up to 23-10. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Afton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
