Clay is a perfect 9-0 against St. Augustine since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will head out to take on the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. Clay is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Clay was able to grind out a solid win over Ponte Vedra, taking the game 11-6.
Sadie Russo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Amiah Carrubba was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Hackett, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI.
Carrubba wasn't the only one making solid contact: Clay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 22-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Seabreeze. On the bright side, the 19- run performance marked the Yellow Jackets' highest-scoring contest to date.
St. Augustine got a massive performance out of Gus Campbell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Alana Heilman also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
St. Augustine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Clay, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.
St. Augustine's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .323. It's a different story for St. Augustine, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Clay's hitters?
Clay took their win against St. Augustine in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. Do the Blue Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
