The Lynwood Knights pushed their score all the way to 58 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Bishop Montgomery by a score of 61-58. Lynwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Lynwood had strong showings from Taliyah Mcferson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Shanilah Ewing, who scored 18 points along with 5 assists. The contest was Ewing's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaliyah Castillo, who scored 11 points.
Lynwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bishop Montgomery, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Lynwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Ontario Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Montgomery will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Oak Park at 6:00 p.m. on November 25th.
