Citrus Valley has gone 9-1 against Redlands recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Blackhawks are taking a road trip to challenge the Terriers at 4:00 p.m. Citrus Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.

Citrus Valley gave up the first runs last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Yucaipa, sneaking past 14-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Jake Clark looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Nathan Castillo, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole West, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Citrus Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Redlands didn't have quite enough to beat Redlands East Valley on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Terriers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Citrus Valley now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Redlands, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Citrus Valley beat Redlands 7-4 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
