Behold The Star in Frisco.
Part of the 91-acre complex is the Ford Center, a 12,000-seat facility will serve as the home field for all eight FISD football teams and will also be used by the Cowboys.
The high school action begins Aug. 27 with all eight teams –
Centennial,
Frisco,
Heritage,
Independence,
Liberty,
Lone Star,
Reedy and
Wakeland – taking part in The Star Kickoff presented by Whataburger.
In addition to football, the Star is expected to play host to soccer, band competitions and and graduation ceremonies.
The complex also includes a new headquarters and practice facility for the Cowboys, shopping, restaurants and a hotel.
