The Northwest Mohawks stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-24 victory over Symmes Valley at home. The win was nothing new for Northwest as they're now sitting on three straight.
Ethan Smith and Will Jones certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Smith scored 17 points, while Jones scored two points along with five rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Symmes Valley struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Symmes Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Symmes Valley on the road again on Saturday and play against Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington at 11:30 a.m. on January 13th.
