There's no place like home for the Orthopaedic Vipers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They managed a 23-17 victory over Annenberg on Monday. For Orthopaedic, this counts as revenge for the 39-18 loss Annenberg walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 8th.
Leading Orthopaedic to victory were Kelsy Baez and Betzabeth Lopez. Baez scored ten points, while Lopez scored eight points.
Orthopaedic's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. As for Annenberg, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Orthopaedic will head out on the road to face off against Animo Bunche at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Animo Bunche comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Annenberg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against USC-MAE at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (USC-MAE: 22.2, Annenberg: 17.8) so any points scored will be well earned.
