Burbank is 2-8 against Grant since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Burbank Titans will square off against the Grant Pacers at 6:00 p.m. Burbank's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Grant's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Burbank easily dispatched Mesa Verde last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Burbank fell just short of Destiny Christian Academy by a score of 7-5 last Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since March 19, 2024.

Kevion Duplessis and Devin Johnson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Duplessis scored a run and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Johnson scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4. Duplessis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
Meanwhile, Grant won against Foresthill on Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Grant had just enough and edged out Foothill 12-11. The Pacers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Adan Rincon and Niko Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Rincon scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Hernandez went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Rincon has become a key player for Grant: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Ronald Carmon also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Grant kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Burbank's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Grant, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Burbank has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Grant struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Burbank took their victory against Grant in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Burbank since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
