Rancho Mirage has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Xavier Prep Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither Rancho Mirage nor Xavier Prep posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Last Tuesday, Rancho Mirage was beaten by Palm Springs 52-4. Rancho Mirage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-4.
Meanwhile, Xavier Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Seattle Prep, falling 51-21. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Xavier Prep has scored all season.
Rancho Mirage bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.0 points per game. As for Xavier Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
