Calvary Christian Academy has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on DuBois Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Calvary Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Calvary Christian Academy came up short against Johnstown Christian and fell 41-28. Calvary Christian Academy has struggled against Johnstown Christian recently, as their game on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Macayla Mills, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games she's played. Bethany Suttles was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Calvary Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, DuBois Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Blair County Christian on Friday, taking the game 31-23. The win made it back-to-back wins for DuBois Christian.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2. As for DuBois Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Calvary Christian Academy strolled past DuBois Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 33-18. Will Calvary Christian Academy repeat their success, or does DuBois Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
