The Shade Panthers had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were the victim of a tough 43-20 loss at the hands of Meyersdale. Shade has struggled against Meyersdale recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meyersdale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maci Moore led the charge by scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds. Laurel Daniels was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 steals.
Shade's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Meyersdale, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Shade will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Star at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Meyersdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Turkeyfoot Valley Area focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday.
