The Upper Perkiomen Indians kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 61-20 loss at the hands of Pequea Valley. Upper Perkiomen lost against Pequea Valley in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-20 score last time.
Despite the loss, Upper Perkiomen still got an impressive performance from Natalie Kearney, who scored 6 points.
Upper Perkiomen's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Pequea Valley, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Upper Perkiomen will take on Tulpehocken at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pequea Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Biglerville at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
