The Dallastown Wildcats waltzed into their match Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Red Lion with points to spare, taking the game 45-31. That's another feather in the cap for Dallastown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Red Lion had strong showings from Julia Sedora, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, and Grace Masser, who scored nine points. Sedora scored a full 35.5% of Red Lion's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Red Lion struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Dallastown's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Red Lion, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dallastown will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spring Grove at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Red Lion will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Hershey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
