The Hobart Brickies entered their tilt with the River Forest Ingots with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Hobart had just enough and edged River Forest out 45-42. The score was all tied up 20-20 at the break, but Hobart was the better team in the second half.
It was another big night for Anthony Hnilo, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Leonard, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Hobart's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for River Forest, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Hobart is on the road again on Thursday and play against Wheeler at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th. Wheeler is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. River Forest will finish 2023 at home by hosting Lake Station Edison at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Lake Station Edison is ranked 431st, while River Forest is ranked 415th).
