On Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but Salinas had to settle for a 45-43 loss against Presentation. It was the first time this season that Salinas let down their fans at home.
Salinas lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Payton Edwards, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alice Uchida, who scored 11 points.
Salinas' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-4. As for Presentation, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salinas will take on Monterey at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
