West Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Liberty Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. West Valley will be strutting in after a win while Liberty will be coming in after a defeat.
West Valley was handed a 56-point loss in their previous outing, but they didn't let that bad energy affect their game against Perris on Tuesday. West Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Perris and snuck past 37-35. The victory was just what West Valley needed coming off of a 70-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Liberty lost to Tahquitz on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin on Tuesday. Liberty has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Liberty's loss came about despite a quality game from Alex Barajas, who scored 19 points.
West Valley's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
West Valley came up short against Liberty in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 39-30. Can West Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
