The Temecula Prep Patriots will challenge the Perris Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Temecula Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Temecula Prep's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Santa Rosa Academy as they made off with a 16-0 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Braden Litt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Litt was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Noah Scarlett was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Temecula Prep is undefeated when Scarlett posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Ryan Gomez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
Temecula Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Perris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 16-6 to Rancho Verde.
Perris saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adan Perez, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Angelo Terran also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Temecula Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Perris, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Temecula Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Perris struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Temecula Prep skirted past Perris 1-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
