The Granite Hills Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They skirted past Barstow 47-44. The victory was some much needed relief for Granite Hills as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Granite Hills found their leader in underclassman Bryanna Lynem, who scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lynem has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rollins, who scored six points.
Granite Hills' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-12. As for Barstow, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Hills' road trip will continue as they head out to face Silverado at 5:30 p.m. on January 18th. Silverado will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Barstow, they will head out on the road to take on Adelanto at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adelanto presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Barstow in California (Adelanto is ranked 461st, while Barstow is ranked 993rd).
