In what's become a running theme this season, the Liberty Ranch Hawks gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They really took it to Galt for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-11 win at home. Winning may never get old, but Liberty Ranch sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Liberty Ranch found their leader in underclassman Haley Smith, who scored 23 points along with five steals and two blocks. Smith hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Mccoy, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Galt still got an impressive performance from Akayla-Joy Gunter, who scored ten points. That was a full 90.9% of Galt's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Liberty Ranch pushed their record up to 17-4 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points per game. As for Galt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Ranch will challenge El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Galt, they will head out on the road to square off against Rosemont at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
