The Los Fresnos Falcons will take on the Veterans Memorial Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Los Fresnos will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Los Fresnos will bounce into Friday's contest after beating San Benito, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Falcons took down the Greyhounds 42-25 on Friday.

It was another big night for Robert Pineda, who threw for 253 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 65 yards and a pair of TDs. What's more, he racked up 154.9 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Enrique Guerra was Pineda's top target, picking up 99 receiving yards and one score.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Veterans Memorial, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Hanna 42-7. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won six matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.
Veterans Memorial's win came from a few key players Los Fresnos will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Cesar Belmontes, who rushed for 127 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Calvin Trevillion, who gained 143 total yards and a touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Veterans Memorial was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 382 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 382 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Los Fresnos has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 220.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Veterans Memorial struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 327.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
