Blacklick Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaydence Killinger, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Killinger is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristin Szymusiak, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The win was the 11th in a row for Blacklick Valley, bringing their record for this year to 20-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blacklick Valley is on the road again on Monday and plays Harmony Area at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Shade, they will head out on the road to square off against McConnellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
