In what's become a running theme this season, the Blacklick Valley Vikings gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Shade 75-29 on the road. Blacklick Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Blacklick Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaydence Killinger, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Killinger is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristin Szymusiak, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
The win was the 11th in a row for Blacklick Valley, bringing their record for this year to 20-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blacklick Valley is on the road again on Monday and plays Harmony Area at 6:00 p.m. on February 12th. Blacklick Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 695 points over their last 11 games. As for Shade, they will head out on the road to square off against McConnellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
