On Tuesday, the Leake County Gators's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Stringer by a score of 51-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Leake County.
Leading Leake County to victory were Meikiara Vivians and Daishone Turner. Vivians scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three steals, while Turner scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That's the first time this season that Vivians pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Krysten Morgan, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Leake County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-12. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Stringer, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Leake County will head out on the road to take on Mississippi School for the Deaf at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stringer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Leake County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
