The Beverly Hills Normans struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Saturday (the Torrey Pines Falcons were 23% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Beverly Hills lost to Torrey Pines on the road by a decisive 56-38 margin. Beverly Hills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mandy Kohanim and Natasha Tishbi certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Kohanim scored 19 points, while Tishbi scored nine points.
Grace Trusso was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points for Torrey Pines. Averi Kwok was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Beverly Hills' loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Torrey Pines, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-11.
Beverly Hills will be playing in front of their home fans against Imperial at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. Torrey Pines' road trip will continue as they head out to face Sage Creek at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Sage Creek will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
