Logan/Palco is 5-0 against the Longhorns since February of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Logan/Palco will be staying on the road to face off against the Thunder Ridge Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Logan/Palco knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully the Longhorns like a good challenge.
Logan/Palco pushed their score all the way to 55 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Northern Valley 59-55.
Despite the defeat, Logan/Palco got a solid performance out of Rhett Kats, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. That was a full 50.9% of Logan/Palco's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Morgan, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Sylvan-Lucas 50-22.
Logan/Palco's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Thunder Ridge, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-7 record last season and are now at 3-8.
Logan/Palco didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Longhorns when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 57-51 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Thunder Ridge's Dylan Bice, who scored 29 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
