Dunwoody extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping them up to 16-4. Everything went their way against the Tri-Cities Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-2 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won 13 matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Anslie Worley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Worley was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Dunwoody got a massive performance out of Kaz McLoughlin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs McLoughlin has posted since September 3rd. Another player making a difference was Brooke Parkes, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 14 consecutive contests.
As for Tri-Cities, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly 12 runs.
