Meanwhile, Bishop Hendricken faced Smithfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Hawks came out on top against the Sentinels by a score of 7-3. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Sentinels recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Mason Marchessault tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Montenegro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Maher, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Bishop Hendricken pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for La Salle Academy, their record is now 13-4.
La Salle Academy might still be hurting after the 13-7 loss they got from Bishop Hendricken when the teams last played back in April. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
