The Santa Teresa Saints scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They walked away with a 61-54 victory over Prospect. That's two games straight that Santa Teresa has won by exactly seven points.
Santa Teresa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevaeh Lacy, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lacy has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Dahlia Daboul, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Prospect still got an impressive performance from Sadie Slaughter, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. That was a full 44.4% of Prospect's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Anbrielle Joan Mangoba was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Santa Teresa is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Prospect, their defeat ended a 11-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-4.
Santa Teresa will head out on the road to square off against Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Prospect, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Leigh at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Leigh focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
