The Pierce Bears had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 44-26 win over Live Oak on Friday. The win was just what Pierce needed coming off of a 51-24 defeat in their prior game.
Pierce got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Letzy Ambriz out in front who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ambriz has scored all season. Leah Charter was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Live Oak, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pierce will take on Paradise at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Paradise is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Live Oak, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Durham at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
