Meanwhile, Malad's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-46 to Soda Springs. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Malad in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost nine in a row.
West Side's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Malad, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.
West Side skirted past the Dragons 67-64 when the teams last played on Wednesday. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Side since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
