The American Canyon Wolves will take on the Pittsburg Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. American Canyon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
American Canyon took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Concord 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Royce Hall and Andre Lopez did most of the damage at the plate: Hall went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs, while Lopez went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Hall a new career-high.
Meanwhile, Pittsburg entered their tilt with Vacaville on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-2.
Santino Valle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Pittsburg let Devin Simonton and JJ Robinson run wild. Simonton went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Robinson went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run. That triple marked the first that Simonton has hit this season.
American Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Pittsburg, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. American Canyon has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Pittsburg struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
American Canyon might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Pittsburg when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Will the Wolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
