The Monterey Trail Mustangs's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They managed a 60-55 victory over Kennedy. The victory was just what Monterey Trail needed coming off of a 87-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
Aaliyah Youngblood was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. The contest was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sydney Wilson, who scored 12 points.
Monterey Trail's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monterey Trail will face off against Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to face off against River City at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. River City will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 521st, while Kennedy is ranked 196th).
