Volleyball Recap: Ponder Wins Going Away Against Brewer

Ponder not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since November 15, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Brewer Bears 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was Ponder's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-14, 25-3.

Kennedy Simon paced Ponder's offense, picking up 15 kills. Simon got some help from Zoe Dishman and her 28 assists. Makaylee Ruiz controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

The win got Ponder back to even at 5-5. As for Brewer, they dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ponder wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Celina on the 19th. As for Brewer, they will face off against Oakridge at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
