The Woodland Christian Cardinals are taking a road trip to challenge the Mesa Verde Mavericks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Mesa Verde will be coming in after a defeat.
Woodland Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over Golden Sierra on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won 17 matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Jordan Villanueva was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Villanueva was even better at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Woodland Christian has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Mesa Verde struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 strikeouts.
