Santa Fe's loss came despite strong showings from Haleigh Richburgh and Grace Boswell-Sczepanski. Richburgh scored 11 points, while Boswell-Sczepanski scored 9 points. Richburgh scored a full 39.3% of Santa Fe's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Jhane Fountain was her usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds for Palatka. Charnelle Cue was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Palatka, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santa Fe will square off against Hamilton County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Palatka, they will head out on the road to face off against Middleburg at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middleburg is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
