Football Recap: Logan Piles Up the Points Against Dora

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Logan). They claimed a resounding 55-0 win over the Dora Coyotes. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Logan, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kale Griffiths, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Logan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Aydin Kotara, Stratton Schoonover, and Marshall Ortega picked up one apiece. Kotara got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Logan's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Dora, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan will head out to square off against Elida at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Dora, they will challenge Animas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
