Cloverdale and Clear Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Cloverdale is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Cloverdale is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Upper Lake on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-3 win. The Eagles have beaten the Cougars the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Clear Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Bragg. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.
Jesse Hayes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cloverdale has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clear Lake struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Cloverdale couldn't quite get it done against Clear Lake when the teams last played on April 8th as they fell 8-3. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
