The Ramona Bulldogs were the 40-37 winner over the Sage Creek Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Ramona took a serious blow against Sage Creek on Tuesday, falling 91-15. Ramona has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Ramona saw an underclassman step up: Krystian Pierre scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for Pierre.
Ramona bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sage Creek, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ramona will take on El Capitan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. El Capitan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ramona in California (El Capitan is ranked 177th, while Ramona is ranked 1155th). As for Sage Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Hills is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
