The Sierra Timberwolves had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Central Catholic with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 50-34. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sierra also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Sierra was led to victory by Mya Everett and Abigail Chapman. Everett scored 20 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Chapman dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Everett has scored all season. Emma Gilmore was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Sierra's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10. As for Central Catholic, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-12.
Sierra will take on East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Union is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games. As for Central Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Manteca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manteca presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Central Catholic in California (Manteca is ranked 165th, while Central Catholic is ranked 732nd).
