Maplewood is 10-0 against the Panthers since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Maplewood Tigers will be playing at home against the Saegertown Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Maplewood will be looking to keep their 19-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Maplewood stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They breezed by Rocky Grove on the road to the tune of 47-12. Given Maplewood's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Orioles are ranked 671st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Saegertown sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-40 victory over the Bears on Monday.
Maplewood's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Saegertown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Maplewood was able to grind out a solid victory over the Panthers in their previous matchup back in January, winning 42-30. Does Maplewood have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
