Northview hasn't had much luck against Schurr recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Vikings will be home for the holidays to greet the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Northview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season.

Northview barely beat Nogales the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings never let the Nobles get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. Given Northview's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 148th, while Nogales are ranked 420th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northview's offense was hitting Nogales from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Brianna Casteneda led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Schurr's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of California by a score of 2-1.

The victory made it two in a row for Northview and bumps their season record up to 3-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Schurr, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
