The New Roads Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Lake Balboa College Prep Cougars at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. New Roads has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, New Roads beat Wildwood 58-53.
Meanwhile, Lake Balboa College Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 48-32 fall against Alliance Marine-Innovation & Technology.
Lake Balboa College Prep's defeat came about despite a quality game from ARTURO PELAEZ, who scored 18 points along with four steals. PELAEZ is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. NAREK SHAHBAZYAN was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and two steals.
New Roads' victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they have fallen quite a ways from their 13-5 record last season and are now at 3-7.
