South Pasadena and San Marino are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Tigers will host the Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The last five games South Pasadena has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Leo Castillo, Jr. was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Castillo, Jr. wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Raphi Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Nathaniel Gutierrez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, San Marino entered their tilt with Temple City on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rams a 12-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Like South Pasadena, San Marino also got a great game from a two-way player: Tom?s Bilvado. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Bilvado a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Miles Morning was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Parker Wilson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
San Marino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
South Pasadena has been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for San Marino, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
