The Kenesaw Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 57-11 blowout they got at home against Harvard. That looming 57-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Kenesaw yet this season.
Kenesaw's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Kelley, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Bentley Olson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Harvard struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Kenesaw now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Harvard, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Kenesaw will head out on the road to face off against Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Giltner is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Harvard will take on McCool Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McCool Junction presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harvard in Nebraska (McCool Junction is ranked 53rd, while Harvard is ranked 283rd).
