The Roybal Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a  rough 53-33 walloping at the hands of Robert F. Kennedy Community. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat Roybal has suffered  since November 13, 2023.
 When it comes to explaining why Roybal lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Emily Mondragon. Despite the final result, she  scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Mondragon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Jasmine Carrillo, who  scored six points.
 Roybal's defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.
 Roybal will head out on the road to  take on  Bernstein at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, they the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Belmont at 4:00  p.m.  on January 19th. Belmont comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last five games, a trend the  squad is of course eager to reverse.
