The Athenian Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Bentley Phoenix at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Athenian's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Athenian's offense. Their tough 4-0 loss to Head-Royce on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Athenian in their matchups with Head-Royce: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Bentley's last contest on Tuesday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. They and College Prep finished up their game with a 0-0 draw. The result kept Bentley happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 17th.
Athenian has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6-1 record this season. With that draw, Bentley's record moves to 11-3-2.
Athenian might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Bentley in their previous matchup back in January. Can Athenian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
