Lennox Academy dropped their record down to 9-11 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 11-0 to the New Roads Jaguars. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for New Roads, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For New Roads' part, the result came thanks to Xavier Walker's shutout, as he gave up just a hit.

On the hitting side, Donovan Eastwood was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Asamino Spong was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

While Lennox Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
