After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Westchester, Fairfax was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 42-26 win over the University Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 32-23 defeat.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fairfax to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mila Spencer, who went 6-for-12 on her way to 16 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Petty-Wright, who went 5-for-12 en route to 14 points.
Despite the loss, University had strong showings from Katty Noundjio, who posted ten points, and Ashley Kelly, who had ten points. That was a full 38.5% of University's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Fairfax back to even at 9-9. As for University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.
