The Research Triangle Raptors's five-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They had just enough and edged Eno River out 51-48. The win was just what Research Triangle needed coming off of a 71-31 defeat in their prior contest.
Despite the loss, Eno River had strong showings from Cole Creedle, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, and Wade Clough, who scored 11 points along with four blocks. That's the first time this season that Clough posted two or more blocks.
Research Triangle's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Eno River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Research Triangle will take on East Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Greyson Landphere and Cade Wiggins. Eno River won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Voyager at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Voyager is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
