On Monday, Fowler slipped by Sunnyside 43-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Fowler.
When it comes to explaining why Sunnyside lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ruby Cartwright. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Cartwright hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyera Dickson, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Fowler has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Sunnyside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.
Fowler on the road again on Friday and play against Parlier at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Parlier will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Sunnyside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against McLane at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
